Rundle Sweet 16 Basketball Tournament
This year, the Rundle College Sweet Sixteen Tournament will be centred around contributing to youth sports through charitable endeavours. We are pleased to be fundraising in partnership with JumpstartⓇ who have helped over 3 million children nationwide play over 80 different sports. Additionally, we will also be collecting donations for the Calgary Flames Sports Bank to donate youth equipment, which is why we are encouraging all teams participating to bring an item, such as a basketball, to donate. Below is a list of items that the Calgary Flames Sports Bank is collecting. All further equipment and monetary donations— whether that is received from players, coaches, or parents—will be tracked and attributed to their respective schools. These points will be aggregated at the end of the tournament to present the inaugural Rundle College Community Assist Trophy! Your support in these charitable initiatives would be greatly appreciated, and we look forward to collectively making a positive impact on youth sports.
The Sports Bank is currently prioritizing specific sports equipment. Current priorities include:
Soccer Balls - Size 4 & 5
Soccer Cleats - All sizes
Soccer Shin Pads - All sizes
Baseball Bats - Current USA Baseball Certification
Basketballs
Rollerblades - size 1-7
Scooters
Badminton Rackets & Birdies
Tennis Rackets & Tennis Balls
NOTE: All other gently used sporting equipment is also accepted for donation.
